Warangal police bust interstate smuggling of counterfeit seeds

Commissioner of Police (CP) AV Ranganath said on Sunday that the task force had successfully arrested the fraudulent seed vendor.

Warangal: In a major operation, police have caught an interstate gang engaged in the sale of counterfeit cottonseed.

The matter is currently being investigated.

Commissioner of Police (CP) AV Ranganath said on Sunday that the task force, acting on the direction of the state government to curb the sale of fake seeds, succeeded in arresting fraudulent seed suppliers.

He said more details on the operation would be provided within a day or two following a thorough investigation into the illegal business.
