Visakhapatnam: RINL-Visakhapatnam Steel Plant Director and Personnel Dr SC Pandey said that women’s economic empowerment is at the heart of India’s G20 agenda and all G20 countries will achieve the goal of women-led development under India’s leadership.
A conference on “India’s G20 Presidency: Empowering Women in G20 Countries and Beyond” was jointly organized by the Public Relations Society of India, Visakhapatnam Chapter and RINL at Ukkunagaram Management Development Center on Saturday, he noted Policies in India have contributed to women’s empowerment and reduced gender inequality, and the country is rapidly shifting from a women’s development model to a women-led development model.
“India has been making waves in the field of women’s rights, especially in recent years, especially with the implementation of various policies such as Nari Shakti programme, Women’s Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP), Women in Engineering, Science and Technology (WEST),” he noted And said that RINL’s Naarishakti has also achieved amazing results and made a significant contribution to the growth and sustainability of the organisation.

She said G20 Women’s Economy Represents Empowerment and Progress’ vision is to be the most inclusive and action-driven alliance between business and government to accelerate women’s leadership and empowerment in G20 countries.
Dr Pandey congratulated Dr Radha Raghuramapatruni and Head of Office of PRSI Visakhapatnam Chapter.
The program was chaired by Dr.PLK Murthy, Chairman of PRSI Visakhapatnam Chapter, and RP Sharma, Vice Chairman. US Sarma, Vice President, PRSI South India, gave details of PRSI’s activities in the country. PRSI Secretary A.Govinda Rao said the Visakhapatnam chapter is conducting a public awareness program on the G20 to inspire the public. Many RINL female executives and PRSI members attended the event.
