YSRCP leaders have been organizing service-oriented programs across the state to celebrate his birthday.
Amaravati: The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) set a world record with 130,000 people registering and donating blood in a massive blood drive commemorating the 50th birthday of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The old South African record was 72,000 blood donations.
YSRCP leaders have been organizing service-oriented programs across the state to celebrate his birthday. As part of this, party cadres, in cooperation with the Red Cross, organized massive blood donation camps in the two Telugu states, other states and abroad.
According to reports, more than 100,000 people have come to donate blood. Party sources said those registrations were likely to increase further, with the event continuing for another day.
YSRCP General Secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy congratulated Challa Madhusudan Reddy and the staff and cadres who made the blood drive a complete success.
