The second Vande Bharat train will operate between Secunderabad and Tirupati.

Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh has approved two new generation Vande Bharat Express trains, according to a notification issued by Indian Railways to South Central Railways.
The first Vande Bharat Express train will run between Secunderabad Railway Station and Vijayawada and will start operating from New Year 2023. The official date will be confirmed shortly after the railway authority completes the track upgrade. The train will depart from Secunderabad via Kazipet to Vijayawada. Later it will be extended to Visakhapatnam.
The second Vande Bharat train will operate between Secunderabad and Tirupati. South Central Railway wants to operate this train from Secunderabad to Tirupati via Vijayawada.
This train route must be decided based on feasibility and stock availability. G. Kishan Reddy, Union Minister for Tourism, Culture and Development, has also lodged a request for a train to Tirupati in view of the number of pilgrims heading to the temple town of Tirupati.
Each Vande Bharat has a total seating capacity of 1,128 passengers and is equipped with automatic doors; GPS-based audio-visual passenger information system, on-board hotspot Wi-Fi for entertainment purposes and comfortable seating. Vande Bharat Express has a maximum commercial speed of 160 km/h. Currently, trains on the Secunderabad-Vijayawada track via Kazipet can reach a top speed of 130 kilometers per hour.
