Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy ordered the state police to strictly enforce GO 1.
During a review of law and order in the state, the Chief Minister directed police not to name political parties.
The state government has implemented GO 1 to restrict public gatherings and gatherings on state highways and highways.
The GO was implemented after two incidents in Kandukur and Guntur in Prakasam district where as many as 10 people were killed in public gatherings.
At least 11 people were killed in a stampede in Kandukur during TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu’s roadshow and three more were killed in a stampede in Guntur shortly after Naidu left a private gathering.
GO appears in the first week of January.
