Hyderabad: The BJP’s state department has denied it played any role in trying to lure TRS priorities, with the party’s state leader Bandi Sanjay Kumar accusing TRS supremacy and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao of staged a drama.
Bandi Sanjay told a news conference late Wednesday that the TRS’ attempt was to stop the MLA from leaving the party and gain political mileage ahead of the Munugode polls. He challenged the Chief Minister to release CCTV footage from the Deccan Kitchen Hotel in Film Nagar for the past three days, where he claimed the TRS leader from Munugode had been there for the past few days. Sanjay also demanded the release of CCTV footage of the chief minister at Pragati Bhavan’s residence, as well as details of the detained Swamiji’s call.
The BJP state chief also issued a threat to police officers involved in Wednesday’s developments, saying the police are the actors in the play, the BJP will not leave here and the police’s lives are ‘ruined”.
Sanjay also challenged the chief minister to reach the Yadadri temple and swore he was not behind the conspiracy, which Sanjay claimed was orchestrated by Chandrashekhar Rao of Delhi, in which TRS MLA’s son was also involved. He also wants a current judge to investigate the incident.
Regarding photos of the accused standing with BJP leaders, including himself, being circulated, Sanjay said that just because they were pictured with BJP leaders, they could not be associated with them.
