Kota Gooden: Sri Seetha Ramachandraswamy Devasthanam of Bhadrachalam in the district is preparing for Vaikunta Ekadasi Prayukta Adyayanotsavams (Mukkoti Celebrations) to be celebrated from 23rd December to 12th January 2023.
Teppotsavam and Uttara Dwara Darshannam are held on January 1 and 2 respectively. Pagal Pathu Utsavam will be held from December 23 to January 1, while Rapathu Utsavam will be held from January 2 to January 11.
According to the temple’s Vaidika committee, Adyayanotsavams on January 12 will be followed by Vilasotsavams on January 13-15, Viswaroopa Seva on January 19 and a special pooja ceremony will be held at the temple in honor of Bhogi, Makara Sankranti and Kanuma.
Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar informed that the authorities have been instructed to make elaborate arrangements for the Mukkoti festival which will be held after two years. On December 1st, online and offline Dashan ticket sales began.
On Monday, district collector Anudeep Durishetty held a meeting with officials and directed them to finalize arrangements for the smooth running of the festival.
The town of Bhadrachalam will be divided into 15 districts and Parnasala will be divided into four districts and a special sanitation program will be implemented. A special team should be formed in Dummugudem. The District Officer will be appointed as a special officer to oversee the arrangements for various sectors.
Steps to supply safe fresh water, display diagrams to inform devotees of bus and train times, and famous sights in the area, signage must be installed in car parks and emergency medical centers, he said.
Durishetty told the officials to set up a control room at the Bhadrachalam deputy collector and ASP’s office. Since the New Year will be celebrated during Mukti, there may be a large number of devotees visiting the temple, so arrangements should be made accordingly.
Other collectors K Venkateshwarlu, ASP B Rohit Raj, Devasthanam EO B Shivaji, DRDO Madhusudan Raju, DPO Ramakanth, DCO Venkateshwarlu, Medical Officer Dr Dayananda Swamy, DRO Ashok Chakraborty and others were also present.
