Hunting time: Finance Minister T Harish Rao said on Thursday that the BJP is indulging in blackmail politics by abusing central investigative agencies such as enforcement bureaus and income tax in states where elections are scheduled.
In addition to encouraging people to form new political parties, demoralizing local governments and other parties in states where polls are planned have become routine for the BJP, he said. Even the general public is starting to understand the cheap tactics of the saffron party, he said, adding that such tactics by the BJP may work in states like Uttar Pradesh and Bihar but not in Telangana, Because the latter has a great history of mobilizing against oppression many times.

Speaking to the media after the inspection, Harish Rao said that Sarpanches of some taluks in Nanded district of Maharashtra had recently contacted Donation Minister A Indrakaran Reddy to ask him to merge their villages with Telangana as they could not get Rythu Programs like Bandhu, Rythu Bima, Kalyana Lakshmi, Shaadi Mubarak and others in the state. He said that while people in neighboring countries have recognized and acknowledged the good work done in Telangana for the welfare of the people, the BJP cannot digest this.
During the chief minister’s visit, Harish Rao informed that Chandrashekhar Rao would arrive at the district headquarters on December 7 and inaugurate the TRS party office. After laying the foundations for the Faculty of Medicine building, he will inaugurate the Integrated District Office Complex and conduct a review meeting with public representatives and officials. He will also speak at a public meeting in Mothe at 2pm.
