Hyderabad: BJP’s Munugode candidate Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy conceded defeat and accepted the people’s verdict. He announced it even with two counts left.
Speaking to the media in Munugode, Rajgopal Reddy said he lost the polls because the ruling TRS leader used money and alcohol to lure people and abused official mechanisms to influence voters. “Even though I lost the vote, morally I won,” he claimed.
“To defeat a BJP candidate in the polls, the entire cabinet, MLA and TRS leaders flocked to Munugode. They distributed crores to voters to lure them. Official bodies also supported TRS. People had no choice but to Vote for the TRS candidate,” he claimed.
He claimed that TRS leadership even put pressure on Election Commission officials to the point that they were forced to rig the polls.
