Hyderabad: On Saturday, the CPI state unit held a protest rally in the city with the slogan “Modi back” and said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had failed to address Telangana, especially in the AP restructuring law The assurance that there is no moral right to enter the state.
Leaders of the Communist Party of India, wearing black shirts and carrying black banners, led the rally at Mukhdoom Bhavan in Himayathnagar, led by the party’s national secretary, K Narayana. However, the police obstructed the rally and detained the leaders.
Narayana charged that under the “National Monetization Plan”, the prime minister shut down several public sector businesses and handed them over to his corporate friends.
It has been eight years since the prime minister failed to deliver on promises made to Telangana under the AP Restructuring Act. Apart from usurping state power, the BJP government has also adopted anti-people policies, he said.
“All the illogical and authoritarian decisions made by the Prime Minister are causing unspeakable suffering to the people. We are protesting his visit to Telangana as he has failed to fulfill the aspirations of the people,” Narayana said.
