Rajana-Sisera: Minor tensions arose in the Bugarajeshwar thanda of the Yellareddypet mandal on Thursday, allegedly after police stopped the tribe from carrying out Podu plantings.
Local tribes have leveled some woodlands for slope planting in the suburbs where they live. Knowing this, forest officials arrived at the scene and stopped the tribe from clearing the ground by cutting down trees. The tribe was outraged by this and got into an argument with the officials, which turned into a quarrel between them.
Yellareddypet CI Kolani Mogili and more police officers arrived at the scene and brought the situation under control. More troops were deployed to avoid any further trouble.
