New Delhi/Amritsar: A drone entering India from Pakistan was shot down by the Border Security Force (BSF) near the international border in Punjab state, an official said on Thursday.
The unmanned aerial vehicle was shot down near the Harbhajan border post in Ferozepur district, Tarn Taran district at 8:00 pm on Wednesday.
BSF troops fire “severely” on the drone. A BSF spokesman said it was found lying in farmland during a search of the area on Thursday morning.
The search is continuing to see if any cargo was dropped by the drone, he said.
