In the presence of the villagers, the statement of the farmer was taken by Tahsildar, and the gold coins were confiscated along with the clay pot.

West Godavari: About 18 gold coins were found in a clay pot while digging for drilling pipes in a field in Eduwadala Palem village on Saturday.
The field belongs to Manukonda Satyanarayana of Eduwadala Palem village in Mandal. Seventeen gold coins were found in the crock. Another coin was later recovered.
The farmer notified Tahsildar who arrived at the farm and collected details. In front of the villagers, the farmer’s confession was taken, and the gold coins and clay pots were confiscated.
Koyyalagudem Tahsildar P. Nagamani said a total of 18 coins weighing 61 grams of gold were found at Satyanarayana’s palm oil farm. He informed us, we moved to the farm, asked for gold coins, and we collected gold coins. They will be handed over to the office’s regional collectors and deposited in the state treasury. We have notified the archaeological department of this matter.
