San Francisco: Google has announced that it will show users suggested keywords below the search bar to more easily explore search-related topics.
The top of the search results page will display an easy-to-scroll list of related topics, the tech giant said in a blog post Tuesday.
Users can easily add or remove topics specified by the plus icon for quick zoom-in or backtracking searches.
For example, if you type “dinner ideas,” you might see topics like “healthy” or “easy.” By selecting a topic, you can quickly narrow down your search results by adding topics to your query.
Then, when you click, the theme will change and become more dynamic, giving you more possibilities and helping you discover new areas. For example, if you select “Healthy,” you might see “Vegetarian” or “Fast” topics.
“Both topics and filters are displayed in an order that our system automatically determines is most helpful for your specific query,” Google said.
If users don’t see the specific filter they want, they can find more filters using the “All Filters” option at the end of the row.
The change will roll out to English-speaking users in the US on iOS, Android, and the mobile web in the next few days
