Hyderabad: Grid Dynamics Holdings, an enterprise-grade digital transformation services and solutions provider, kicked off its India operations on Thursday at the Knowledge Park in Hitech City.
“Hyderabad has been at the forefront of engineering innovation and is home to many large players in the technology sector. Grid Dynamics’ choice of Hyderabad in Telangana is a testament to the success of the government’s vision to make it easy and fast for multinational companies to operate. We are sure The Hyderabad hub will exceed expectations in all business aspects,” IT and Industry Minister KT Rama Rao said at the inauguration.
Grid Dynamics announced plans to open the center in May of this year, and it took less than six months to take shape. It has a capacity of 300 seats. The first phase has already started with 150 seats, and the second phase with 150 more seats will probably go live in March.
This first venture in India is part of Grid Dynamics’ global expansion. “Hyderabad is a powerhouse of talented engineers. The region is also backed by a strong ecosystem of engineering and management institutes and supportive government agencies, which will help us scale faster as a public company,” said Leonard Livschitz, CEO of Grid Dynamics.
“We have a strategy to grow in India, from Hyderabad as a core, to solve business problems for our global corporate clients,” he said, adding that it would pursue an M&A strategy in India.
Grid Dynamics has started internship programs with IIT Hyderabad, BITS, Pilani and MNIT Allahabad. This will start in January. Over the past six months, Grid Dynamics has hired its core leadership team in India and assembled a team of AI, cloud, data engineering, full-stack engineering and solution architect engineers.
Rajeev Sharma (CTO & Acting General Manager, India), Yury Gryzlov (COO & CEO EMEA), Vadim Kozyrkov (SVP Delivery) and Oksana Livschitz (Director Learning & Development) were in attendance. IT and Industry Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, Cyberabad Police Commissioner Stephen Raveendra, TSIIC Managing Director Narasimha Reddy, T-Hub CEO Srinivas Rao Mahankali, Chief Relations Officer Amarnath Reddy Atmakuri and Cyberabad Security Council Secretary Krishna Yedula attended the meeting.
