Hyderabad: A food delivery boy who was allegedly injured by jumping from a multi-storey building in Yousufguda on Wednesday night after being chased by a pet dog died while receiving treatment late on Saturday night.
Delivery supervisor Mohd. Rizwan (25) went to deliver food parcels to a family living on the third floor of a condominium.
Police said the customer’s pet dog, a German shepherd, was not on lease, and ran after him when he rushed out.
Rizwan allegedly tried to escape by jumping from the third floor of the apartment.
“Rizwan fell to the ground with injuries. He was taken to the hospital in a critical condition and died while receiving treatment,” said Banjara Hills Inspector P Narendar.
Banjara Hills Police have opened a case against the owner and launched an investigation.
