Rajanna-Sircilla: B Vinod Kumar, vice-chairman of the TS planning committee, said that if the BJP returns to power in the country, the words secularism and socialism will disappear from the preamble of India’s constitution.
Communism is a great system and it will fight for public issues. The Marxist theory that many intellectuals worked hard to devise would help the people protect themselves from exploitation.
Vinod Kumar made these comments while attending the 44th anniversary of the death of Telangana armed struggle leader and first Karimnagar council member Baddam Yellareddy in the town of Sircilla on Tuesday.
Welfare schemes have been implemented in different states and countries due to the struggles of great community leaders like Baddam Yellareddy, Ravi Narayana Reddy and Puchalapalli Sundaraiah. He said the government was implementing welfare programs out of fear of a public backlash.
He said deceitful patriotism, especially the policies being pursued by the BJP, had become a major threat to the country and advised people to be wary of these forces.
CPI State Secretary Rao and others attended the meeting.
