Active COVID-19 cases now account for 0.03% of total infections, while the national recovery rate is 98.78%, according to the ministry’s website

New Delhi: India recorded 3,095 new cases of COVID-19 in a single day, taking active cases to 15,208, according to data updated by the Union Health Ministry on Friday.
The 8am update showed the death toll had risen to 5,30,867 in 24 hours, with five fatalities – one each reported from Goa and Gujarat and three from Kerala.
The daily positivity rate was 2.61%, while the weekly positivity rate was 1.91%.
The total number of Covid cases was recorded at 4.47 crore (4,47,15,786).
According to the ministry’s website, active cases now account for 0.03 percent of total infections, while the national recovery rate is 98.78 percent.
The number of people who recovered from the disease was 44.1 million (4,41,69,711), while the recorded case fatality rate was 1.19%.
To date, 2,206.5 million doses of the Covid vaccine have been administered nationwide, according to the ministry’s website.
