New Delhi: India reported 830 new Covid-19 cases and one death in the past 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said on Wednesday.
The total national death toll now stands at 5,28,981.
Active cases stood at 21,607, or 0.05% of the country’s total positive cases.
The 1,771 patients who recovered in the past 24 hours brought the cumulative total to 4,40,95,180. Therefore, the recovery rate in India is 98.77%.
Meanwhile, the daily and weekly positivity rates were 0.67% and 1.05%, respectively.
Also during the same period, a total of 1,23,104 tests were conducted across the country, with a total of more than 900.3 million.
As of Wednesday morning, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 2.1957 crore.
