International flights departing from Hyderabad are diverted to the main terminal To clear up confusion about flight departures or arrivals, Hyderabad Airport has provided a helpline number: 040-66546370.
Hyderabad: Going abroad from Hyderabad? Please note that from 28th November, all international flights will be transferred to the main terminal at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.
“From 28 November 2022, international flights will be transferred from the former Interim International Departure Terminal (IIDT) to the main terminal,” RGIA said.
To clear up confusion regarding any flight departure or arrival, Hyderabad Airport has provided a helpline number: 040-66546370.
Earlier, there were separate terminals for domestic and international flights. Considering the passenger peak period, a temporary terminal building was set up on the right side of the airport for international passengers.
There registration, security, immigration and customs checks take place. However, from now on, passengers will be sent to the main terminal.
On the other hand, the expansion of the airport is in full swing. The development is likely to be completed by 2023 as work progresses.
RGIA’s initial capacity was 1.2 million passengers per year, increasing to 2.1 million by 2019 (before the pandemic). The airport is currently undergoing a major expansion to accommodate 3.4 million passengers per year.
