The cattleman who spotted the wild animal on Sunday notified forest staff, who traveled to the area on Monday to check for the leopard’s pug tracks. Deputy ranger Srinivas told the media that two CCTV cameras were installed in the forest to track the movements of the animals.
These villages are close to the Kanakagiri hillocks below the Tallada forest range. He added that locals were warned not to enter the forest or take cattle to graze.
