Vetti Malla of Medepalli, Enkoor mandal is said to have taken his daughter Sukki to the district hospital after falling ill on Saturday night. The child died Sunday while undergoing treatment.
Carman: On Sunday, a tribal man had to use a motorcycle to transport the body of his three-year-old daughter from the Kaman district hospital to a village 65 kilometers away.
Vetti Malla of Medepalli, Enkoor mandal is said to have taken his daughter Sukki to the district hospital after falling ill on Saturday night. The child died Sunday while undergoing treatment.
Mara then asked hospital authorities for an ambulance to take the child’s body to their village. Authorities allegedly turned away ambulances, saying there was no free ambulance service at the time.
Unable to pay for a private ambulance, Mara then carried the body away on a motorcycle. The incident went viral on social media after many shared pictures of Mara’s body on a motorcycle with his wife Adi.
