Mulugu area collector Krishna Aditya on a conference call on podu land on Thursday.
Murugu: District Collector S Krishna Aditya has instructed the officials concerned to complete the podu land survey in the area by 5 November. On Thursday, he held a conference call with special officers, Tahsildars, MPDO and forest officials about the ongoing podu land survey. He said he would not hesitate to suspend officials who were negligent.
“While a total of 34,082 applications have been received from the nine Mandals in the area, 58 percent of the investigations have been completed so far,” he said, asking officials to expedite the process.
He said at least 200 applications were processed every day, and he advised officials to use a special app from time to time to upload details. “Special Mandal officers shall be on site from time to time to supervise the investigation and ensure prompt progress,” the collector said.
Additional Tax Collector (Revenue) YV Ganesh, District Revenue Officer Rama Devi, Special Officer Mandal, Tahsildars, MPDO, Forest Officers, Tribal Welfare Department officers and others participated in the call.
