A TV reporter accused Salman Khan of torture, assault and robbery in 2019

Mumbai: The Mumbai High Court on Wednesday ordered the cancellation of the FIR registered against actor Salman Khan for assault and misconduct against a journalist in 2019.
Salman does not have to appear in Andheri court now.
A TV journalist has filed charges against Salman Khan for abuse, battery and robbery in 2019.
The case was brought before the Metropolitan District Court in Andheri.
Niraj Gupta, the veteran journalist’s lawyer, said his client was attacked by Salman and the actor later abused the journalist.
“My client, a senior journalist, was attacked by Salman on April 24, 2019. The actor snatched my client’s mobile phone and deleted the data on it. When my client tried to defend himself He was severely abused by Salman,” Gupta said.
Gupta added, “My client tried to file a complaint, but the police officer ignored the matter.” The Metropolitan District Court has accepted the complaint and set July 12 as a date for further arguments and orders.
Complaint has been read under Section 323 (Causing Harm) Section 392 (Robbery), Section 426 (Punishment for Mischief), Section 506 (Criminal Intimidation) Part 2 along with Section 34 of the IPC
