nizamabad: Nizamabad ACP Venkateswarlu held the ‘National Unity Run’ organised by the Nehruyuwa Centre here on Monday to mark Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birthday.
Speaking at the rally, Venkateswaru said that Sardar Patel is an inspiration for the country and every Indian needs to remember his invaluable contribution in building a modern and unified India.
Srinivasa Rao, commander of the 7th Battalion, said that the youth should move forward in the spirit of national unity and be responsible to the society.
District youth officer Shatil Bellal recalled that Sardar Patel played a vital role in merging Telangana with the Federation of India. NCC officers Prasad, police officers, Sri Ramakrishna Vidyalaya students, young women and Nehru Yuva Kendra volunteers participated in the programme.
