Hyderabad: Education Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy said on Tuesday that she would resolve the issue of dormitory allocation at Nizam College as soon as possible.
Earlier, IT Minister KT Rama Rao asked the Education Minister to intervene and resolve the issue in response to Nizam College undergraduates protesting the allocation of dormitories on campus.
In a tweet, the IT minister said the girls’ dormitory had been built and handed over to the college at the request of the students. This situation seems unfounded.
Undergraduate students have been protesting seeking to allocate on-campus housing. However, according to undergraduates, the college administration is providing dormitory facilities for PG students.
“Please @SabithaindraTRS Garu Minister to step in and fix this. At the request of the students, the girls’ dormitory was built and handed over to the academy. This situation seems unfounded,” Rama Rao tweeted.
In response to the tweet, the education minister tweeted: “I will personally look into this @KTRTRS garu. Will fix it soon”.
