Murugu: Peruvian police on Friday arrested seven people, including six recipients of stolen property, and recovered 6,52,350 rupees in stolen property, including gold and silver jewelry.
The defendants are Muddaboina Rajesh of Jayashankar Bhupalpally district, Kunja Papa Rao of Mulugu, Podium Ravi, Kaka Raju, Kanithi Narsimharao, Punem Koteshwar Rao and Kalluri Vinod of Bhadradri Kothagudem.
“On November 1, Rajesh burglarized at a rice mill in Dharmaram village and others received (purchased) his stolen property,” the police said.
Mulugu SP Sangram Singh Patil thanked Venkatapuram CI K Shiva Prasad, Peruru SI R Harish and other staff for apprehending the gang.
