Hyderabad: A photo of MP Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra currently going on in Telangana state has gone viral on social media with a picture of MP walking by the hand of actor-turned-activist Poonam Kaur.
Accompanied by members of Akhila Bharata Padmashali Sangham including Venkanna Netha, the actor took part in the yatra that started in Dharmapur, Mahabubnagar on Saturday. During the padayatra, sangham members and actors raised the difficulties faced by weavers, especially due to the 5% GST imposed by the BJP government with Gandhi on handloom products.
What went viral, however, was a photo of Gandhi holding the actor’s hand, and Kaur responded to some tweets saying he was holding her hand after she slipped and nearly fell.
