Hyderabad: Shriya Saran, Sharman Joshi, Shaan and Prakash Raj will star together in an Ilaiyaraaja multilingual music film titled “Music School” which will be released on May 12.
At a recent event in Hyderabad, the producers unveiled the first poster for the musical, graced by ace filmmaker and distributor Dil Raju.
Dil Raju said, “Paparao has made this film with passion, the content is good and I will be responsible as distributor to bring it to theaters.”
The film uses music to portray the heavy academic pressures of young schoolchildren in a light-hearted and entertaining way, with a total of 11 songs driving the film’s narrative. Three of them are from “The Sound of Music” and fit perfectly into this Indian musical.
IAS officer-turned-filmmaker Paparao Biyyala, who debuted as a screenwriter and director on Music School, said: “The constant pressure on young students to perform from parents, teachers and society often becomes a major obstacle in a child’s development. Although it’s a serious subject, I tried to tell the story in a fun way through a real musical form.”
The film’s grand exterior was captured by ace cinematographer Kiran Deohans. Beautiful and energetic choreography by Adam Murray, Chinni Prakash and Raju Sundaram.
The film’s cast includes debutant Ozu Barua and Gracy Goswami in major roles, along with Benjamin Gilani, Suhasini Mulay, Mona Ambegaonkar, Leela Samson, Bugs Bhargava, Vinay Varma, Sreekanth Iyengar, Vaquar Sheikh, Phani and many more other child actors.
Produced by Yamini Films, this multilingual film was shot in Hindi and Telugu and dubbed in Tamil.
