Hyderabad: Rachakonda Police Chief DS Chauhan said on Monday that in the next few days, Rachakonda Police will launch a unique student engagement program called “SHE for HER”, which will be dedicated to female students in women’s safety and cybersecurity. training.
When interacting with members of She Teams, Chauhan said, “In the future we will carry out the ‘SHE for HER Programme’ for college students. From each university, one or two female students will be designated as SHE for HER and will receive female safety awareness and educational training.”
He also discussed the roadmap for women’s and girls’ safety in the coming year. Chauhan toured She Teams’ offices and also met DCP Saleema and other female officers involved in the initiative, which is starting to keep women and girls safe.
Interacting with female officers working with She Teams, Chouhan said Rachakonda police will be conducting cyber awareness programs in all educational institutions.
He said there was also a need to focus on cyberstalking and develop a comprehensive action plan to deter crime. Chauhan instructs She Teams to get tough on eve-teasers and show zero tolerance for them. “There should be constant patrolling and decoy operations to catch teasers and provide a safe and secure environment for girls and women. Awareness programs targeting girls and women should be launched in all educational institutions, workplaces and residential areas,” he directed .
The Rachakonda CP also directed officials to ensure that the management of hotels follows the rules for the operation of the facilities.
