Hyderabad: Prime Video’s hit show “The Lord of the Rings: The Ring of Power” has announced seven new regulars for its upcoming second season, which is currently in production in the UK.
Since its premiere, The Lord of the Rings: The Ring of Power has been bringing audiences together to experience the magic and wonder of JRR Tolkien’s majestic Middle-earth. Season 1 is Prime Video’s top original series in every region to date, with over 100 million viewers worldwide, a true global hit that exemplifies the ubiquity of a strong storyline.
“We welcome these amazing actors to our ‘fellowship,’ and look forward to telling more incredible second-century stories in season two,” said Vernon Saunders, head of global television at Amazon Studios.
The cast includes Gabriel Akuwudike, Yasen Atour, Ben Daniels, Amelia Kenworthy, Nia Towle and Nicholas Woodeson. The role of Orc leader “Adal” has been recast in the second season and will be played by Sam Hazeldine.
