Kota Gooden: A software engineer has been brutally killed following a financial dispute at the Mutyalampadu intersection in the Tekulapalli mandal in the district.
Dharawath Ashok (26), the chairman of the BJP’s Tekulapalli mandal, son of D Balaji of Shantinagar village in Mutyalampadu crossroad gram panchayat, was working in a software company in Khammam. He left the house late Saturday night after receiving a call from a friend. Because the mobile phone was turned off and did not return home, the family began to search everywhere.
Ashok’s body was found at the gram panchayat office in Mutyalampadu Crossroads. There were multiple stab wounds on the body, and the face was mutilated.
He is said to have had a financial dispute with a young man from Mutyalampadu intersection. Police have reportedly detained the suspect and are questioning him. Yellandu DSP, Ramana Murthy, Tekulapalli CI Indrasena Reddy and Yellandu CI B Raju were on site.
