Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has disclosed in the public domain clear evidence of what he called organised crime and he has also sincerely called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to stop such conspiracies, otherwise the Prime Minister’s name will be tainted forever in the history of India .
“As a political colleague and Telangana chief minister for the past eight years, I ask PM Modi to stop these conspiracies or your name will be stained in the history of the country. I urge him to order an in-depth investigation into all these allegations , to clear his name,” he said.
Chandrashekhar Rao, who has called for an investigation into claims made by three agents to overthrow four state governments, wondered what Modi was trying to achieve by threatening other parties even after taking the top job twice as prime minister. He reminded that no one will be in power forever and any such efforts are futile.
“India is the largest democracy in the world and its name should not be tarnished. There should be an impartial investigation into these claims. I am getting old, but it should be up to future generations to go above and beyond to save democracy for the progress of the country,” he said.
The Chief Minister pointed out that the country has all the resources to make huge leaps in development. “But these efforts to overthrow the government are forcing parties to shift their focus from governance to politics, which ultimately weakens the country’s development,” he said.
Speaking of one of the defendants, Simhayajulu, threatening MLA to either have Godi (Alliance) or face the ED, Chandrashekhar Rao demanded to know who gave the agents confidence, blatantly claiming to have overthrown state governments in several states. He said the name of union minister Amit Shah was mentioned more than 20 times
