Hyderabad: As part of the city’s Children’s Day celebrations, some NGOs have contacted public schools to host events for children. During the months of October and November, Teach for Change organizes events and fun-filled activities in many public schools to engage children in grades III through IX.
Singing, dancing, drawing and spelling bees were held in various schools. Not only did the children participate enthusiastically, but they also won these competitions by a large margin. The winners received certificates and prizes such as school bags, water bottles, stationery, etc.
As part of the Children’s Day campaign, the TFC team consisting of Shaik Ayoob, Dileep, Maithili and Chandrika visited several schools and presented prizes to the winners.
Prizes and certificates were also sent to other cities and schools in South India for distribution at their respective locations by the TFC team including field officers and volunteers.
