He said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao would come up with every idea to improve the poor, saying India is known for its unity in diversity as there are many castes and religions across the country but they will live in harmony.
He said States had a duty to respect all cultures and customs by giving them equal weight. After exchanging cakes with Christian children, women and the elderly, Rao pledged his full support for the management of the CSI Siddipet Church as it prepares to celebrate its 150th anniversary.
MLC Farooq Hussain and others attended. Meanwhile, the entire region celebrates Christmas with great pomp and joy. Churches in the area held special prayers due to the large gathering of believers. (eom)
