Hyderabad: The trio, who were arrested by police while acting on behalf of BJP and who were caught trying to lure TRS MLA’s farmhouse here, were shown at his Gaddianaram home on Thursday by the SPE and ACB case chief special judge.
On Wednesday night, Cyberabad police arrested three people at a farmhouse in Aziznagar, Moinabad – Faridabad native Ramachandra Bharati alias Satish Sharma, Hyderabad businessman Nanda Kumar and Tirupati’s Simhayaji Swamy. TRS (BRS) lawmakers have relayed information to the police about the trio and their efforts to lure them into the BJP.
In his complaint to Moinabad police, Tandur MLA pilot Rohith Reddy said he received Rs 100 crore in exchange for monetary benefits from the BJP, in addition to civil contract works and other key positions in the central government. He claimed that if he did not join the BJP, he would have been indirectly warned of criminal cases and attacks by the ED and CBI.
According to the complaint, the police registered a case under Sections 120-B, 171-B r/w 171-E 506 r/w 34 IPC and Section 8 of the Prevention of Corruption Act 1988 and transferred the detainees from the farmhouse to where they were Sharmshabad (rural) police station was questioned by senior Cyberbad police officers throughout the day.
In the evening, they were recorded and presented before ACB judges in Gadhianaram.
