Siliguri: Three Lashkar Lashkar (LeT) terrorists were killed in clashes with security forces in South Kashmir’s Shopian district, officials said on Tuesday.
“Of the three subdued local terrorists, two identified as Lateef Lone of Shopian, involved in the killing of Pandit Purana Krishna Bhat of Kashmir; and Umer Nazir of Anantnag, involved in the killing of Till Bahadur Thapa of Nepal. An AK-47 The rifle and two pistols were recovered,” J&K Police quoted Kashmir Regional Police Director-General Vijay Kumar as saying in a tweet.
The encounter began after a joint team of police and security forces received intelligence about the presence of terrorists in the Munjh Marg area.
After the area was cordoned off, the terrorists opened fire, retaliated by security forces.
