Allen: Defending champions France won their World Cup group stage with a 1-0 loss to Tunisia on Wednesday.
Wahbi Khazri’s 58th-minute goal gave Tunisia victory, but it wasn’t enough to send them through to the last 16.
Australia beat Denmark 1-0 in another Group D match, finishing runner-up with a goal difference advantage.
Khazri ran to the heart of the French defense and beat two players before poking the ball into the corner. It was Tunisia’s third victory at the World Cup.
