New Delhi: Twitter is finally bringing a much-loved feature that will help users find specific tweets and profiles by filtering based on date, user, retweet count, hashtag, and more.
Twitter’s advanced search filters for smartphone users are “coming soon,” according to social media analyst Matt Navarra.
“Twitter advanced search on iOS is coming soon,” he tweeted on Thursday.
“You can also use Twitter Advanced Search on iOS to search other users’ profiles,” he wrote.
As he mentioned, the new search feature will first appear on the iPhone.
CEO Elon Musk complained about Twitter’s search function within a week of taking control of the microblogging platform.
“Fixing search is a top priority,” he tweeted on Nov. 6.
“Searching in Twitter reminds me of Infoseek in a98! This will get better soon too,” Musk added.
On the web, you have to enter a search term and click the three-dot menu to the right of the search bar to open advanced search, according to TechCrunch.
“On mobile, this wasn’t even an option until now, when the feature release seemed imminent,” the report said.
It’s unclear when this advanced search feature will be available.
