Lucknow: Party sources say the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC) will start the state-level “Bharat Jodo Yatras” from Sunday to mobilize cadres for party leader Rahul Gandhi’s yatra, which was planned for early January. Enter Uttar Pradesh.
The yatra will depart from Barabanki on Sunday and arrive in Lucknow on Monday.
Uttar Pradesh Congress Zonal chairman Nakul Dubey said in a press statement that the UPCC will take out six state yatras from different places in the state.
“The yatra from Barabanki will culminate in Hardoi on December 21 after covering various districts,” he added.
Dube said senior party leaders including United Party president Brijlal Khabri will lead the rally ahead of Rahul Gandhi’s “Bharat Jodo Yatra”.
