Lucknow: A congratulatory message from the Uttar Pradesh Police to the “RRR” team for winning the Golden Globe for the song “Naatu Naatu” has gone viral.
The message also reminds people of the “golden rules of global road safety”.
In a creative thread on Twitter, UP police defined RRR as “respect for red lights on the road.”
The UP Police made a creative twist on the RRR poster and also used the Golden Globe winning song “Naatu Naatu” in its title, which reads – “#RoadSafety’s Golden Glob(al) rule nomination; #Come in, Kabhi jump Crossing red lights; #Naatu, Kabhi triple square; #Naatu, Kabhi drunk driving; #Naatu, Kabhi traffic rules today”.
The tweet garnered more than 40,000 views.
This isn’t the first time UP police have won praise for their creative tweets.
Last year, in a post inspired by Akshay Kumar’s Bachchhan Paandey, UP Police tweeted: “Bhai Ho Ya Godfather, Bhaukaal aur Bhay Sirf Kanoon Ka Chalega #ArmslengthfromCrime.”
The tweet, which aimed to raise the issue of illegal guns, was retweeted and praised by Akshay Kumar himself.
Rahul Srivastav, another SP who is in charge of the social media hub, said, “UP Police is always on top of the latest trends in film, sports etc. and we are always celebrating star achievers from all walks of life. Fanciful adaptations of popular movies and songs that address issues of public concern help us capture people’s imaginations more effectively.”
