Policewoman Tholla Nagamani and her daughter T Trilokini passed health tests in Khammam on Wednesday.
Common: For 38-year-old female police officer Tholla Nagamani, Wednesday was a double harvest. The policewoman and her 21-year-old daughter Tholla Trilokini accomplished a rare feat as they both passed a physical fitness test for the position of deputy police inspector.
They were the focus on Wednesday at Police Parade, where physical fitness/fitness measurement tests are being conducted for salaried cadets to be selected for the post of Deputy Police Inspector/Constable.
Nagamani, a native of Chennaram village, Nelakondapalli mandal, Khammam district, is a BCom graduate while her daughter Trilokini has recently completed her BSc (Life Sciences) at RJC Degree and PG College, Khammam. Nagamani joined the police force in 2007 as a home guard, was later selected as a constable and was recently transferred to Mulugu. “My mother wanted to be an SI, so she applied for the position with me,” Trilokini told Telangana Today. The 21-year-old woman, who lives in Murugu with her mother, prepares for written and physical fitness tests together and attends a special training camp organized by the local police for aspiring police officers. By the way, this is the first time the two have taken the test. “My mother worked in the police force, which inspired me to apply for the job, and we all encouraged each other to do well in our exams,” Trilokini said.
“We are very happy with our results today and hope to pass the final exam as well,” said the mother and daughter. They applied for the SC reservation category. Nagamani’s husband, Tholla Venkanna, is a farmer.
