San Francisco: Google-owned YouTube said on Thursday that it has fixed “many” user-reported crashes in its iOS app.
The video streaming platform tweeted via its TeamYouTube account: “Hi, we know that many of you may be experiencing a crash when using the YouTube app on your iOS device. We’re sorry for this and are working on a fix.” ! Updates coming soon.”
It later claimed all issues had been resolved.
“YouTube apps on iOS devices should now be functioning without crashes! Thanks for staying there,” it added.
DownDetector, an online website outage monitoring platform, revealed that more than 8,000 users across the United States reported various crashes.
Some users reported the problems on the microblogging platform Twitter.
One user asked, “Anyone else experiencing YouTube crashes?” Another said, “Anyone else having severe and recurring #Youtube crashes on #Apple devices?”
In April, the video-sharing platform suffered a global outage as users reported several issues, such as receiving error messages and logging issues when trying to watch videos.
YouTube users also reported issues accessing site elements such as sidebar navigation, switching accounts, and the settings menu.
