PRINCE RUPERT, B.C. – Summer travellers and business commuters now have more options for flying out of Prince Rupert, as Air Canada Jazz has launched a new seasonal evening flight to and from Vancouver.

The new service, which began on Friday, June 6, has been introduced to meet the growing travel demand of the busy summer season. The additional flight will operate twice a week, on Wednesdays and Fridays, and is currently scheduled to run until October 24, with a potential for extension if demand remains high.

The schedule for the new flight is as follows:

    • Departs Vancouver (YVR): 5:45 p.m.
    • Arrives in Prince Rupert (YPR): 7:32 p.m.
    • Departs Prince Rupert (YPR): 8:10 p.m.
    • Arrives in Vancouver (YVR): 9:50 p.m.

To accommodate the later departure from Prince Rupert, the airport authority has confirmed that the airport shuttle bus will now depart from the Highliner Hotel at 6:00 p.m. on flight days.

This new evening service supplements the existing daily midday flight between the two cities. According to Air Canada’s booking site, one-way fares for the new route start at $192, though prices will vary based on demand and booking date.
