SKEENA REGION, B.C. – A significant new gold discovery has been announced in the heart of Northwestern B.C.’s “Golden Triangle,” signaling a potential game-changer for a major exploration project in the region.
Goliath Resources announced on Wednesday it has intersected “abundant gold visible to the naked eye” within a nearly 100-metre-long mineralized zone in a new, deep drill hole at its Golddigger Property.
While official assays are still pending, the company says the visual characteristics of the find are “strikingly similar” to its highest-grade gold discovery from last year. The new discovery is part of the company’s 2025 drill program, which is targeting what it believes could be a massive “Motherlode” source for the high-grade mineralization found across the property.
“The visible gold observed… represents an exciting development at Surebet, demonstrating the continued expansion of our high-grade gold system and providing strong indications of its robust nature,” the company’s CEO stated in a release.
The discovery has prompted the company to immediately increase the size of its planned 2025 drilling program by 50%, from 40,000 metres to 60,000 metres, a sign of strong confidence in the project’s potential.
The Golddigger Property is located in a world-class geological region with logistical connections to both Prince Rupert and Terrace, making any major find there significant news for the entire Skeena regional economy.
