PRINCE RUPERT, B.C. – One year to the day after a major drug trafficking investigation concluded in Prince Rupert, the Crown has approved 28 criminal charges against four local residents.
The charges stem from a 14-month investigation by the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of B.C. (CFSEU-BC) and the Prince Rupert RCMP. The investigation culminated in the execution of five search warrants on June 5, 2024.
During that bust, officers seized nine firearms, including a loaded 9mm handgun with a prohibited magazine, 1.2 kilograms of methamphetamine, 16 grams of cocaine, approximately $38,000 in cash, and two vehicles.
On June 5, 2025, charges were officially approved.
The four Prince Rupert residents, a 38-year-old man, a 34-year-old man, a 35-year-old man, and a 27-year-old woman, face a combined 28 counts. The alleged offences include trafficking a controlled substance, possession of a loaded restricted firearm, possession of a prohibited device, and unsafe firearm storage.
“Thanks to intelligence-led enforcement and close cooperation with the Prince Rupert RCMP and Coastal Unit, we’ve brought 28 charges against individuals harming our communities through organized crime,” a media relations officer for CFSEU-BC said in a statement. “We remain committed to keeping British Columbians safe by targeting those involved in violence and drug trafficking.”
