Terrace Gives Green Light to Luna’s Pulse, Bringing Major Music and Arts Festival to Riverboat Days
The nine-day celebration will bring tribute concerts, electronic music, immersive visual production, family activities and late-night entertainment to the Terrace Curling Club from July 31 to August 8.
Terrace is preparing for one of its biggest entertainment events of the summer after City Council approved the municipal application connected to the 2026 Luna’s Pulse Music Festival.
Running from Friday, July 31, through Saturday, August 8, Luna’s Pulse will transform the Terrace Curling Club into a large-scale music, arts and entertainment venue during Riverboat Days.
The festival will combine an ABBA and Fleetwood Mac tribute experience, touring electronic artists, dancers, lasers, visual installations, workshops, food vendors, interactive art and a free family day.
Organized by Caleb Courtney through Electric Sinphony Productions Ltd., the event is expected to attract audiences from Terrace and communities across Northwest B.C., including Kitimat, Prince Rupert, Smithers and the Hazeltons.
Terrace City Council considered the festival’s special-event liquor application during its July 13 meeting. The application covers four licensed periods at the Terrace Curling Club, located at 3210 School Street, and identifies a potential maximum attendance of 980 people per event night.
Three Headline Nights, One Festival Pass
Luna’s Pulse opens on Friday, July 31, with the ABBA + Fleetwood Mac Experience, an evening celebrating two of the most recognizable groups in popular music.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the show running from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m.
The event is restricted to guests aged 19 and older, with government-issued photo identification required.
Tickets are currently listed at $55, reduced from the regular price of $65.
On Saturday, August 1, the Curling Club will shift into a late-night electronic music venue for the official Luna’s Pulse after-party featuring The Funk Hunters.
The lineup also includes Kytami & Phonik Ops, ACRANYMPH and additional performers.
Promoted as a full dance-floor experience with lasers, lighting, dancers, performers and immersive visuals, the event runs from 10 p.m. until 3:30 a.m.
Tickets are currently available for $70, reduced from $90.
The festival’s final headline night takes place on Saturday, August 8, with The Funky Finale featuring The Sponges.
The closing celebration is scheduled from 9:30 p.m. until 3 a.m., with the associated licensed period extending until 3:30 a.m.
The finale is being promoted as another high-energy night of electronic music, dancers, lasers, visual production and live performance.
Tickets are currently priced at $60, reduced from $75.
Festivalgoers planning to attend all three headline events can purchase a Luna’s Pulse All Access Pass for $160, reduced from $230.
A two-night EDM Pass, covering The Funk Hunters on August 1 and The Sponges on August 8, is available for $115, reduced from $165.
VIP Upgrades Available
Separate VIP upgrades are being offered for the two electronic-music nights.
The VIP upgrade for The Funk Hunters event costs $50, while the VIP experience for The Sponges finale costs $40.
The upgrades include access to an exclusive lounge, couch seating, a private VIP bar, shorter drink lines, additional tables and seating, and a dedicated attendant.
Regular event admission must still be purchased separately, and VIP capacity is limited.
Free Family Day Adds an All-Ages Side to the Festival
Luna’s Pulse is not being organized solely as an adult nightlife event.
On Saturday, August 8, the festival will host a free all-ages family program from 1:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The daytime event is expected to include live music, food vendors, interactive arts and activities designed for families and younger attendees.
After the family program concludes, organizers will have approximately 90 minutes to clear and reset the venue before the 19-plus Funky Finale begins later that evening.
That transition will involve changing the Curling Club from a free public community space into a controlled adult venue with identification checks, restricted admission and licensed alcohol service.
A separate midweek arts and music program is also scheduled for Wednesday, August 5, from 7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
More Than a Conventional Concert
Luna’s Pulse is being promoted as a week-long celebration of music, art, culture and community.
The organizers are promising a combination of touring artists, regional talent, performers, dancers, custom staging and immersive visual production rather than a traditional stage-and-seating concert format.
Courtney previously organized the Red and Blue: Be You event at the Thornhill Community Centre in May 2026.
Attendees praised that production for its creative lighting, staging and ability to transform the venue into a visually immersive environment. Luna’s Pulse is expected to expand on that approach with a larger venue, touring performers and multiple nights of programming.
City Approval Brings Event Into Final Preparation Stage
Council’s approval means the festival has passed an important municipal stage and that the City has had advance notice of its proposed attendance, licensed hours, parking requirements and late-night schedule.
The organizer will remain responsible for admissions, identification checks, responsible alcohol service, crowd management, private security and compliance within the festival grounds.
Terrace Fire Rescue will retain authority over fire and life-safety requirements, including the final floor plan, legal occupant load, emergency exits, electrical installations and access for emergency responders.
Terrace RCMP and municipal staff will also be aware of the event through the City’s approval process and the wider Riverboat Days planning period.
The two late-night events on August 1 and August 8 will continue until approximately 3 a.m., with licensed hours extending until 3:30 a.m., making orderly crowd departure, traffic management and impaired-driving prevention important parts of the event’s operations.
Detailed police deployment numbers are generally not made public, but Luna’s Pulse is not arriving as an unexpected event. Its schedule and potential crowd size have been disclosed in advance through the municipal process.
Parking Planned Near the Curling Club
The event plan includes the use of City-owned properties at 4403 Legion Avenue and 3201 Bonspiel Crescent for parking.
With attendance potentially reaching 980 people, the area around School Street, Legion Avenue and Bonspiel Crescent could experience significantly increased traffic during the headline nights.
Organizers will need to keep emergency routes clear and safely manage pedestrian movement between the venue and surrounding parking areas, particularly when crowds leave during the early-morning hours.
Residents and motorists should expect heavier traffic near the Curling Club during the festival’s largest events.
A Potential Boost for Terrace Businesses
Luna’s Pulse arrives during Riverboat Days, when Terrace is already busy with parades, tournaments, concerts, cultural programming and community activities.
The addition of a multi-night ticketed festival could encourage more visitors to stay overnight and spend money at local hotels, restaurants, taxis, retailers and other businesses.
It also gives regional artists, performers, vendors and production workers an opportunity to participate in a professionally organized festival alongside established touring acts.
The event’s mix of classic music, electronic performances, visual art and free family programming could also help it reach a broader audience than a conventional nightclub event or one-night concert.
