Terrace, BC – June 3, 2025 – Indigenous youth across Canada are invited to join “Winds of Change: Indigenous Youth Circle for Clean Air,” a national virtual gathering taking place on Clean Air Day, Wednesday, June 4, 2025. The event, organized by Mahihkan Management, aims to bring young people together to share, learn, and lead conversations on the importance of clean air for their communities and future generations.
The two-hour session is scheduled to run from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST) (with corresponding times across other Canadian time zones). Participating youth will receive a $50 honorarium.
This virtual circle offers a unique opportunity for Indigenous youth to:
- Engage in interactive discussions and breakout groups.
- Hear from Youth and Elder speakers sharing their stories and knowledge.
- Participate in creative expression activities such as art, storytelling, and spoken word.
- Find a dedicated space for connection, reflection, and action on environmental justice.
The event seeks to empower Indigenous youth to connect with peers nationwide, build their knowledge around air quality and environmental justice, and make their voices heard on these critical issues.
