Skeena News – Seabridge Gold today announced further robust results from its 2025 drilling program at the Snip North Deposit, part of the company’s wholly-owned Iskut project in British Columbia’s mineral-rich Golden Triangle. The continuous gold and copper grades intersected in the latest holes confirm the existence of a massive porphyry copper-gold system, a significant development for the region.
Mineralization at the deposit, which is located near Seabridge’s flagship KSM project, is now defined over a substantial area:
- Strike Length: 2,100 meters
- Dip Projection: 600 meters
- Width: Up to 700 meters
Seabridge Gold Chair and CEO Rudi Fronk commented on the results: “Snip North continues to evolve as a large porphyry mineral system. Intensity and scale of the deposit give us confidence that a significant maiden resource estimate can be achieved in early 2026”.
Search for Higher-Grade Core Continues
The 2025 program focused on infill drilling across the central and eastern parts of the deposit, characterized by intense potassic alteration and replacement-style mineralization. Some of these holes also intersected significant molybdenum grades, which can be a valuable vector for further exploration.
The western side of the deposit showed intense sericite alteration, with the overall system interpreted to be plunging to the northwest.
Fronk noted that while the 2025 drilling has recently concluded, the limits of the mineralization have not yet been defined and remain open at depth, to the northwest, and along strike. The company is confident it has the potential to find a higher-grade intrusive source for the deposit.
Seabridge’s Iskut project is a contiguous block of mineral claims situated in the Liard Mining Division of Northwest B.C., a region often referred to as the Golden Triangle. Assays for the drilling program were contracted through ALS Global in Langley, B.C., with strict quality control measures in place.
