TERRACE, B.C. – Skeena Resources, a key mining exploration company with major projects in Northwest B.C., saw its stock price reach a new 52-week high this past week, signalling strong investor confidence in its regional assets.
On Friday, the company’s shares, which trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange, rose as high as C$21.23 before closing the week at C$20.92.
The positive momentum comes as financial analysts take a bullish stance on the company. Earlier this month, RBC Capital Markets raised its target price on the stock to C$23.00. This follows other positive re-ratings earlier in the spring.
Skeena Resources is the 100% owner of the historic Eskay Creek and Snip gold mines, both located in British Columbia’s “Golden Triangle.” The company is focused on exploring and developing these past-producing sites, with the potential for bringing them back into operation.
The strong performance of the company’s stock is seen as a positive indicator for the future of these projects and the potential for new economic activity and jobs in the region’s resource sector. The company currently has a market capitalization of approximately C$2.27 billion.
